Abstract: This research investigates the effectiveness of early childhood nutrition programs in promoting health outcomes and developmental milestones among Nigerian children. The objective is to assess the impact of nutritional interventions on growth, cognitive function, and overall well-being during the formative years. A survey research design is employed to gather data from healthcare professionals, nutritionists, and ECE providers involved in child nutrition programs. A purposive sample of 200 participants from Rivers State is selected based on their expertise in pediatric nutrition and early childhood development. Findings indicate that comprehensive nutrition programs, including dietary education, supplementation, and meal provision, significantly improve nutritional status, cognitive development, and behavioral outcomes in young children. Recommendations emphasize integrated health and nutrition education, community partnerships for sustainable interventions, and policy frameworks that prioritize early childhood nutrition as a foundational element of holistic development.
